Winter, January, rain, snow, wind, cold weather – really not that season for outdoor activities. But staying at home all day? Boooring! So, it’s time to go to cinema. Therefore, I’m going to present four films which are definitely worth seeing.

The 19-year-old U.S. soldier Billy Lynn and and his company survive a battle in Iraq. As filmed by cameras, they are treated like heroes and used for an promotional tour. Highlight will be the show during the halftime of a football game. But the return to war lies ahead…


Lion (Garth Davis) – Starring Dev Patel, Nicole Kidman, Sunny Pawar, David Wenham, Rooney Mara

This film is based on a true story. The five-year-old Indian Saroo gets lost in Calcutta. Being far away from home, he never got back. After having managed hard challenges, an Australian couple adopts him. 25 years later, he tries to find with Google Earth his biological parents.


Live By Night (Ben Affleck) – Starring Ben Affleck, Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldana, Elle Fanning, Chris Cooper and Brendan Gleeson

During the time of Prohibition, Joe Coughlin becomes a bootlegger in Florida, having to deal with gangsters, Klansmen, and religious evangelicals. A deep insight into the criminal underworld.
