James Patterson’s Women’s Murder Club

It’s a long time ago that I found by chance the book 1st to Die. Until then, I didn’t know that it was the first book of the Women’s Murder Club series and that it would be one of my favourite book series. Having finished it, I couldn’t help but continue to read the following books.

The Women’s Murder Club was founded by the detective Lindsay Boxer, the reporter Cindy Thomas, the medical examiner Claire Washburn and the deputy district attorney Jill Bernhardt. Attention, spoiler alert! (You can continue with the next text passage.) Due to dramatic circumstances in the third book, 3rd Degree, the attorney Yuki Castellano joins the club in 4th of July.

What’s about the Women’s Murder Club? Using their different backgrounds, knowledge and jobs, they solve together crimes in San Francisco. Especially Mexican food and drinks at Susie’s make their brain cells to work. So if you like crime thrillers and stories about tough and intelligent women, you will ADORE the Women’s Murder Club. Suspense, drama, thrill, mystery, fun, feminine power – you won’t stop reading!

lg-1sttodie-audioWhat’s characteristic for this book series? Each title contains a number, representing the order. Even the book covers are filled by the corresponding number. It starts with 1st to Die, continues with 2nd Chance, 3rd Degree, 4th of July, The 5th Horseman, and so on and so on. Definitely a recognition value!

This year, on May 1, the 16th book of this series will be released: 16th Seduction. I am already looking forward to this new thriller!
