Today I have a really especial Christmas Special for you because – maybe – it is not the typical Christmas Album. But we have learned not to think in stereotypes. And in my opinion, Destiny’s Child succeeded in modernizing Christmas songs.
So, enough talking. It is all about Destiny’s Child’s Christmas Album 8 Days Of Christmas, combining the sound of R&B, Pop and Soul with the Christmassy harmony.
Destiny’s Child is especially known as the trio of Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, but started in fact in 1990 as the girl band Girl’s Tyme. The members were Beyoncé Knowles and LaTavia Roberson. Soon Beyoncé’s school friend Kelly Rowland joined the group, in 1993 LeToya Luckett. Two years later, they became officially Destiny’s Child. In 2000, LaTavia and LeToya were replaced by Farrah Franklin and Michelle Williams. Farrah did not continue, Michelle, until the end of Destiny’s Child. Surely, the most famous album is Survivor (2001). In the same year, this great and special Christmas album came out. Revive Destiny’s Child and enjoy Christmas with these fabulous voices, the sound of R&B and wonderful songs!
